    Well, I found some 1/4x4x36 balsa for 2.36 (in bulk) a sheet, which is a really good price. (price is for 40 sheets) https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=L5JC9505&P=FR That takes care of the deck and hull for under 200.00 My initial thought is to go with block balsa for the nose and tail then, bead and cove stripping method for the rails using cedar, to add strength and to give it a little color. Actually, I'd rather use cedar for the nose and tail also but it may add too much weight. Also, Maybe add a couple of thin strips of cedar on the deck too for flavor. Thoughts?
